Burwell Village WebsiteThis year the Swamp Open Day will be on Sunday 1st September, from 12- 4pm. We will have craft and eco-friendly stalls, pond-dipping and the other usual activities for children, BBQ, dog show, and NEW this year, a booze and jam competition. More details nearer the time for submitting entries for this, but do start getting that rhubarb jam, sloe gin, or nettle wine ready for entry. All monies made on the day go back into keeping the Swamp a beautiful place offering homes to wildlife and tranquility to ourselves. We're currently trying to obtain a grant to fund a compost toilet, and hope one day in the future to have a small Visitor's Centre. And! Look out for Tara's workshops now being run on site, with educational talks, yoga, and suchlike.
