Oakington Pavilion opens on Village Day
Andrew Lansley MP, (and son), cut the ribbon and the residents of Oakington & Westwick get their first look inside their new multi-purpose Sports Pavilion.

Years of fund-rasing, planning, hard work and determination culminated in the opening of Oakington and Westick’s new, custom-built sports pavilion on Village Day, June 21 2008.
The threatened rain stayed away but the crowds didn’t. Instead a large number of residents of the village came to enjoy a day full of events and activities, the highlight of which was the official opening of the Pavilion by South Cambridgeshire’s MP Andrew Lansley, who paid tribute to everyone involved in making the project a success.
