End Of Free School Bus To IVC?
The County Council are proposing to withdraw the 'free' school bus to Impington. Families living less than 3 miles from the school are affected i.e over 40 children. Girton families are also affected. A campaign group has been formed called GOSH.
We have a right of appeal by 10 April and really would welcome everyone’s support. If the bus goes the children will have to walk or cycle 3 miles to Impington along the cycle way which we feel is simply not safe. Otherwise we’ll by driving them to Impington which is environmentally unsound.
Those Affected...
If you are affected by this decision now then we need your help. Please:
a) Lobby Councillors/MP – we can send you an example letter, contact names and addresses.
b) Make a formal complaint to CCC – we can send an example letter and addresses.
c) Make your appeal – we can provide a copy of the appeal form with bullet points for the key arguments to include in your appeal
d) Sign the petition on the Prime Minister’s website:http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Impingtonbus/
Deadline for the online petition is 13 June 2008
Not Affected But Supportive...
If you live outside the 3 mile cut-off and/or have younger children who aren't yet affected by this withdrawal, we would love to have your support too!You do not yet have a reason to appeal, however you can still support the case:

b) Send a letter of complaint to CCC.
c) Sign the petition on the Prime Minister's website:http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Impingtonbus/
